Education – It’s All About Development And Training

Most employees want to know they have avenues for advancement in their organizations.   Frequently in the interview process potential employees ask about advancement opportunities or the availability of education or training.  If this is not offered inside of your organization, staff will either move to an organization that does or become complacent and no longer strive to achieve inside your organization.  I have heard arguments from businesses that it is too expensive to subsidize training and education.  The bigger cost is having to rehire, retrain, and reintegrate another person and yet again change the dynamics of the organization that you have worked so hard to create.

By providing training your employees will feel a stronger emotional commitment to the organization and achieve a sense of well-being as the desire to self-actualize is being met. This in turn leads to engaged workers that will go above and beyond to satisfy others as they “pay it forward”.
